What the Dicken’s
Presented by David Garrett

Dicken’s name had become so synonymous with Christmas that on hearing of his death in 1870, a little girl in London asked: “Mr Dickens dead? Then will Father Christmas die too?”

In early Victorian times celebrating Christmas was going out of fashion, but, along with others, Charles Dickens was instrumental in bringing it back to life again, particularly through his master piece “A Christmas Carol”. Who hasn’t heard of Scrooge, the ghost of Jacob Marley and, of course, Tiny Tim.

In his first ever one man show, David Garrett brings to life, these, and many more of Dickens’ well-loved characters.
