HIRE COSTS - 1st April 2008 - 31st March 2009

The hire period is by the day, or by the week. Hire charges include; sale and production of tickets through the Phoenix Booking Office, Technical support, Front of House and Bar staffing for all performances.

Equipment hire, brochure entry and marketing services may be subject to additional charges, these should be discussed at the time of booking, prior to signing your contract.

† Weekly hire charges are Monday to Saturday. Matinee performance not included.

Hire times will be agreed within contract.

Performances will be charged at the full hire rate. Additional hours required outside the normal session times for get ins/get outs or rehearsals will be charged pro rata at the relevant session price.

All hire rates are plus VAT.

†Any sales made as part of an exhibition, craft fair or show merchandising will be subject to a 10% commission.

PRICING
Prices are quoted at the current rate. Please note that hire costs for all areas of the Phoenix Theatre are subject to price rises on 1st April each year. All hirers and would-be hirers, particularly when booking in advance are respectfully reminded that hire costs may rise and should take this into account when booking your event. Price rises are not a valid reason for cancellation of your hire.

PERFORMING RIGHTS SOCIETY CHARGES (PRS)

For all musical events a Performing Rights Society charge will be passed on to the hirer based upon a percentage of the net box office as follows:

Variety/pantomime 2% of net box office plus vat
Popular Music 3% of net box office plus vat
Classical music 5.5% of net box office plus vat
Dance displays to pre-recorded backing music - set fee of £25.00 plus vat per performance.
